Erotic Stories: Diary of a Local Prostitute – Season 1

The surgery had lasted for six hours, the injured man was lucky the bullet had not hit a major organ, that would’ve been a different case, Dr. Rose had not diagnosed the patient properly and he would speak to her later about it.

‘Thank you Jesus’ Andikan sighed and stepped out of the theatre, the nurses would handle the rest. He was confident that the man would live, he’d prayed in his heart throughout the procedure. He’d prayed he survived because he seemed really important to the young woman.

He thought about her briefly, she was very attractive yet an aura of darkness surrounded her. He wondered in his heart if she was a witch or was released from the marine kingdom to tempt him. He had such experiences in the past but God had always shown up for him and helped him to overcome all the temptations Satan had sent his way.

But if she was a witch or anything evil, why had the Holyspirit asked him to help them? He shrugged, it was best not to question God, it was best to do what he said and to submit totally to his will.

‘You’re still here’ Andika was surprised to see her, where was the other woman?

‘I…I had to wait’ Unyime stammered.

‘Oh. Well, the surgery was successful, God answered our prayers. Here’s a list of some drugs, take it to the pharmacy, my signature is there, so they wouldn’t ask you for money, make sure you get everything on that list and get back to me. You have to be serious about this if you want him to be alive’ Andikan explained.

‘Thank you doctor, God bless you, you are too kind’ tears welled up in Unyime’s eyes again, she was greatly touched by such generosity. She was tempted to ask him if he was a man of God because he acted and sounded like one.

‘You’re welcome, what is your name’? he asked her.

‘Unyime. Unyime Sir’ she bent her knee.

‘Okay, see you later Unyime, keep praying for your friend, I’ll see you in the morning, I need to rest.’ Andikan patted her shoulder and walked away.

‘Thank you very much’ she waved at him as he left.

‘Thank you Jesus’ she blurted out and was surprised at her own self, she couldn’t remember the last time she prayed, let alone mentioned God’s name. What had this man done to her?

‘Unyime, yawa don gas’ Paulina rushed towards her. She had gone home to prepare some food for both of them.

‘What has happened this time? I hope no one is dead’ Unyime turned towards her friend.

‘We need to run as fast as our legs can carry us, if possible we get Izu out of this place’ Paulina tried to catch her breath, she’d been running.

‘What is it? talk to me’? Unyime’s heart raced.

‘There’s  a serious issue on ground, the police are all over the brothel, they are looking for you and Izu. They said he stole a precious stone from a very rich man and hid it in your room; Madam Cash is terribly upset with you, she had vowed to deal with you for destroying her business as many of the girls have been chased out.’ Paulina explained in a rush.

‘So where do we go from here? I can’t believe this’ Unyime paced round, they’d just come out of one trouble and entered another, what kind of life was this?

‘Someone saw us. If they tip the police that Izu was injured in that gun fight, they may search the nearby hospitals for him and that isn’t a good thing. I warned you about this guy Unyime, I warned you to stay away from him but you’d never listen. Nothing good comes out of falling in love with an armed robber’ Paulina expressed her dissatisfaction, she’d kicked against the relationship since day one, but her friend had refused to listen.

‘This isn’t the time for blames, just when I thought I’d figured everything out, now this happens, we don’t have anywhere to go, what do we do Paulina’? Unyime asked fearfully, she knew what it meant to be homeless, she had experienced it before when she’d come to the city newly. That was how she met Izu, he’d rescued her and it was her turn to do same for him.

‘We? Babe, there is no ‘We’ here. I am running back to the village, if the police are looking for you, don’t you think I would be on their list too? Maybe this is a sign we should retire from this business, I can’t stay here with you. I have a better suggestion, what if you follow me to the village, ditch Izu and move on with your life’ Paulina suggested.

‘I cannot do such a thing. That is wickedness, this guy took care of me when I had nowhere to go, I cannot leave him, I love him. And I cannot return to the village, my family would kill me. So I am stuck with him’ Unyime was disgusted by Paulina’s cold heartedness.

‘Okay o, Madam Lover Lover, I am leaving, if you have any problem, call me’ Paulina was determined to run and nothing could change her mind.

***

He’d woken up around ten A.M in the morning. He’d slept like  a baby and God had opened his eyes to many things surrounding him, many battles, two of which baffled him greatly.

‘Jesus lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom fly’ he hummed the hymn and dragged himself off bed.

The first dream was on his latest patient and his two friends, he had forgotten her name, but he saw them with bags, as if they were on the run; like something was chasing them and they eventually got trapped in a dark forest.

In the second dream, God had taken him to the church, people worshipped God in truth and in spirit, they were very attentive to the message that was being delivered, then something frightening happened. A man who had been preaching, whose face was equally blurred turned into a wolf and the church went wild.

He would say his prayers and beg God to expose the wolf, there were wolves in the church and God had to expose them. Who was the wolf?

He brushed his teeth before reading his bible and saying some prayers, he prayed for clarity and God’s direction in everything he laid his hands on, before leaving his room for breakfast.

‘Good morning dad and mum’ he was surprised they had not eaten earlier.

‘Morning son, how was the night’? his father asked.

‘Fine dad and yours? You look happy’ he noticed his father wasn’t his usual grumpy self.

‘Of course I am, we’ll be visiting your future wife soon’ the man replied.

‘Oh, Naomi? I even planned an official introduction next month. Andikan was happy, so his father had finally accepted Naomi? They had almost argued the night before but he’d carefully avoided trouble.

‘Honey, I am glad you’ve seen it for yourself, Andikan and Naomi would make a good pair’ his wife praised him.

‘I wasn’t talking about Naomi Usoro, I meant Nneka Agu, Elder Agu’s first daughter; she is the woman for you son, no arguments, this is what God wants’ the man dipped his fork into the French fries.

He had his plans, no son of his would get married to a nobody, Naomi Usoro had no surname and could therefore not be part of his family, he’d worked very hard to create a name for himself; to carve a niche in the higher society, Andikan had to bring home someone worthwhile and Elder Agu’s daughter fit perfectly into the picture.

‘Dad, let’s not talk about this, let me eat my breakfast in peace’ he wasn’t in the mood for trouble. What had come over his father? God wasn’t an author of confusion, he’d told him Naomi was the woman for him, why was his father saying something different?

‘I will not stop! You have to marry Nneka, you will not bring shame to this family’ he yelled at his son.

‘Dad,, you can get to control Aniekan, my elder brother, that’s why you shipped him off to watch over the church in London and married for him a white woman, you cannot do same to me. I am different, no man has the final say in my life, I only do what the lord tells me’ Andikan pushed his plate away.

‘He is right dear, Naomi is God’s will, you cannot push her away because of your own selfish desires’ his wife sided with her son.

‘I can’t believe this, so you’re with him? how can you be so short sighted? I am looking towards the future; Elder Agu has been loyal to us, the church and this family; it is time to reward him and no better reward can be offered. So listen to me well, if you flaunt my wished, I shall not be part of that wedding’ he thundered.

‘Father, give me just one good reason to leave Naomi and I may listen to you. Just one’ Andikan felt deeply hurt his own father would stand against me.

‘Andikan’? his mother was surprised, was he considering his father’s offer?

‘No mum, I need a good reason’ he waved her aside.

‘First, this Naomi girl appears like a cheap woman, wayward and isn’t fit for a preacher, you need a woman of dignity and class like Nneka, Naomi is a church rat and a gold digger who will suck you dry’ the man carefully spoke the words to create a picture in his son’s mind.

‘Wow dad, you’re confused here, Naomi is the woman of dignity and class in that picture you’re painting and I will marry her, with or without your consent. I only live to obey God, this conversation is over’ he rose to his feet angrily.

‘How dare you walk out on me on account of a woman? Come back here Andikan…Come…’ the man rose to his feet and slumped on the ground.

‘Andikan! Come, your father is having an attack’ his mother cried out to him and he rushed there.

‘Get my car keys’ Andikan steadied the man.

‘I am sorry Lord, I allowed my anger to get the better part of me’ Andikan muttered to himself.

‘Wolves. A wolf is coming, be vigilant’ the still voice whispered to him and he begun to pray silently in his heart.

Again he wondered, who was the wolf?
